Oadby Library Multi-Sensory Project for 0-4 year olds
Oadby Multi-sensory Project for 0-4 year olds
Oadby Library is excited to be working with artist Sophie Mahon who has been commissioned to work with local children aged 0-4 and their caregivers to create a permanent multisensory artwork or resources for the library. Sophie has delivered a series of workshops to Oadby families on the themes of sound, light and touch and colour, and has been working with participants to shape the final outcome.
We are now in the final development stages, with Sophie reviewing all her research and participant input, to create the final design for the library space. We hope to have the plans signed off in early August ready for installation in September. The Library team have also been working on exciting plans to update the children’s area, so that the whole area will be transformed ready for the Wriggly Readers festival in October!
