Baca Cook Book Project – Come, Eat!

About the Recipe Book

Culture Leicestershire worked in partnership with local charity Baca to co-curate a unique and inspiring recipe book written by local young asylum seekers living in Loughborough.

Following on from their amazing All Together – We Are Stronger exhibition, showcased in the Community Spotlight Case from 8 November 2023 – 24 February 2024, young people from Baca were supported to create a recipe book. Come, Eat! is no ordinary recipe book. It’s created by young people from different countries, in different languages who have been forced to flee their homelands. In it, they share their special flavours, diverse cultures, and unique memories. It’s colourful, creative, bold and brave.

All the profits from this book go directly to the charity Baca where the young people now live. To buy a copy or share the link- https://bacacharity.org.uk/baca-recipe-book

The project has been facilitated and funded by LCC’s Culture Leicestershire teams as part of our Arts Council, National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) activity 2023-2026 https://www.cultureleicestershire.co.uk/projects/npo/
