Recreating the Hallaton Helmet Talk by Helen Sharp
Helen Sharp, Curator (Archaeology), Leicestershire County Council Museums will discuss the recent project to create new versions of silver-gilt and iron Roman cavalry helmet from the Hallaton Treasure. Find out how two stunning and contrasting replicas were created via 3D scanning, re-analysis and illustration. Find out more about the updated displays at Harborough Museum which allow us to think about wider themes of Roman religion, propaganda, status, and the relationships between invaders and native populations.
Doors open at 2.00pm and talk starts at 2.30pm
