It was an honour to work and teach such wonderful people! It’s a time I will always look back on very fondly, one of those ‘WOW’ moments in your career! And still miss it all today!

A Huge Thank You to The Hinckley Historians
We want to celebrate and thank the Bosworth Explorers for the fantastic things they have achieved while based at Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre. Earlier this year the adult learners, from a Go Learn Learning for Independence group, were invited to Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre to celebrate these achievements.
We celebrated and reminisced on their achievements while being based at the site for over a decade! While being based at the Bosworth site the group went through a few name changes which reflect the many projects they have embraced. From the Bosworth Knights to Bosworth Tommies, where they won a Heritage Award in 2016 – Highly Commended for ‘Response to WW1’, then Bosworth Explorers where they won the ‘Making a difference’ inspirational Volunteer award!
The group have been a huge part of the site, bringing their creativity and enthusiasm to many projects. The award-winning group shone through their work on the Century of Stories, WW1 & Bosworth Street, Bosworth 1485 Around the World exhibitions and, a site accessibility film just to name a few of their projects! They have demonstrated the beauty of what happens when people come together and share their skills, creating a lasting legacy.
The group has moved on to their new chapter at Hinckley Library under their new name, Hinckley Historians. We would like to thank the group for all their work in enriching the offer at Bosworth Battlefield. We look forward to continue working with the group at the library to produce more wonderful outcomes in projects to come.
